Bathgate boy tops competition

  • : Declan Chirray, P5 Simpson PS with Lucy Snedden, P5, Simpson PS who was third

Declan Chirray  from Simpson Primary School in Bathgate has won the West Lothian wide Fairtrade Fortnight Poster Competition.

The primary five pupil's winning design was on the theme of Fairtrade Fortnight ‘show off your label’. 

The poster will now be used to promote Fairtrade in council buildings around West Lothian.

Jennifer Bruce, one of the judges, she said: “Declan’s design is colourful and contained the Fairtrade Fortnight message – show off your label – which highlighted that there are a huge range of Fairtrade products to choose from.  I would like to congratulate all of the pupils who took part.”
