Devastated Bathgate couple offer reward for missing cat
Have you seen this pretty feline around Bathgate? Peanut has been missing for more than two weeks and her distraught owners are offering a reward for her safe return.
The six-year-old tortoiseshell mysteriously disappeared from her home at 109 Mill Road on December 31, 2011.
It is unusual for Peanut to wander far from home and understandably, her owners Lorna McGhee and Craig Ogilvie are anxious to find their much-loved pet.
Devastated Lorna said: “We are lost without Peanut as she is our pride and joy.
“We have gone looking for her most nights and have tried midnight and early morning walks.
“Peanut is the mother of our other cat, Frodo, and he has not been the same since she left.
“We would do anything to get her back even a reward for her safe return.
“If someone has found her and decided to keep her, this would devastate me and my partner as she is a massive part of our family - we love her so much.”
Peanut is described as a tortoiseshell cat with a white front, including her front legs and paws.
She is dark on the back with some browns and golden / ginger colours.
She does not have a collar and is not chipped but she has been spayed.
She is quite small so might be mistaken for a younger cat.
Lorna and Craig so far have notified the police, Cats Protection, the council and dozens of other organisations in a desperate bid to find their much-loved pet.
Lorna said: “We have added the details to numerous forums on faceBook and we have handed out over 300 posters around local houses.
“We have a poster in every local shop, library, petrol garage and supermarket.
“If you have any information, please call my partner Craig on 07825 688505.”
“We are desperate to find her.”
